Sheila Gilley, LPC, joined New Horizons Counseling Center in January 2026 and brings more than 24 years of diverse clinical experience serving children, adolescents, adults, families, and seniors across Southwest Louisiana. She is a mental health professional known for her compassionate approach, strong clinical judgment, and deep commitment to helping clients build healthier, more empowered lives.
Sheila earned her Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi and is a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She has held her Louisiana LPC credential since 2002 and maintains LPC Appraisal Privilege.
Throughout her career, Sheila has worked across multiple levels of care—including private practice, school‑based services, community mental health, juvenile justice programs, and trauma‑focused services. Her background includes extensive experience in cognitive‑behavioral therapy, trauma-informed practices, grief counseling, emotional regulation, and family systems support.
